police getting beaten up. is it ok ?

I am currently writing a script , but have run into a problem. In the films opening sequence , about 5 police men and 2 police women get serverley beaten up with theyre own batons when trying to arrest a single man. This beating that the guy dishes out to the police leads me to ask you lot : Is there any law in the UK that prohibits on screen police beatings ? Im quite sure that there isnt but im asking you good people just to be sure. If i could get a definet answer , id be very greatful.

If you are so concerned about how the particulair real life types of individuals involved in a scene in your movie would react to a scene in your movie.

Ask them.

I reckon you'll get away with it - If reservoir Dogs is alright to show that cop getting tortured. And police always get shot up in films, so taking beats can't be worse.

I would only worry about this if you think your film is going to be realeased. I f you and you mates are going to watch it then know one will care. Otherwise, is is up to the BBFC.
